The owners of the nurseries, Joanne and Matthew, have a profound understanding of the significance of early childhood education. They are the proud parents of three children and take pride in the significance of a nursery that offers a home-away-from-home experience. With a collective service spanning over 34 years in law enforcement, both Joanne and Matthew carry a wealth of experience into the nursery settings. Joanne, with her extensive background in Child Protection and various frontline roles, and Matthew, who served with distinction as a Detective Sergeant, bring invaluable expertise in safeguarding children. Their shared commitment to nurturing young minds and their deep-seated belief in the vital importance of early education and safeguarding, drive the ethos and innovative approach that underpin The Old School House Nurseries.
Located in the very heart of the vibrant and welcoming community of Ashley Cross in Poole, this was our first-ever nursery and it offers a bright, spacious, and meticulously designed environment. This ideal setting has been thoughtfully created to encourage children to engage in a variety of enriching activities, fostering both learning and personal growth, as well as allowing for endless opportunities for exploration. Whether they are embarking on educational adventures or developing essential social skills, children at our nursery are nurtured in a conducive environment that supports their holistic development.
Our second establishment, nestled in the serene locale of Creekmoor, also in Poole, opened its doors in January 2024. Since then, it has unwaveringly maintained our tradition of delivering outstanding early childhood care. Much like our esteemed Ashley Cross Nursery, this Creekmoor setting is dedicated to cultivating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our children. We take immense care in meticulously focusing on the promotion of their development and overall well-being, ensuring that every aspect of their growth is supported in a comprehensive and holistic manner.

At each of our educational settings, we are dedicated to providing a wide-ranging selection of extracurricular activities specifically intended to expand the knowledge of children across a diverse array of subjects. This includes offering enhancement opportunities such as a Maths and English tutors and a Drama teacher, among many other enriching programmes. We are in a constant pursuit of pioneering and innovative methods to further enrich the educational experiences of our students, with the aim of stimulating their curiosity and fostering their growth.
We are proud to offer an enhanced school readiness programme that begins in our Baby Rooms and is woven throughout the entire nursery setting.
